Rating, 5 stars,·September 2024,·This 1830s church was everything that was presented and more.  I was impressed by the thought that went into little details (like solar lights in the driveway and door, photo album of renovation history, and so much more).  Our group was 6 adults and there was plenty of room for all.  Larger parties would certainly feel comfortable here. We loved that we were walking distance of town and the area was great/safe for walking.
I definitely recommend this home for any family event/occasion and will definitely return if we are in the area.

A beautiful renovation of an old New England church that is very welcoming inside. The rooms are very nice. The open gathering area is perfect for a family gathering. The house is so close to downtown Harrison yet it’s peaceful just a few blocks away. Paul and Anne were great host and we would stay there again.

And thank you for the Smores set-up, had fun at the fire pit.  We will  definitely recommend this property to our friends!

North Andover, Massachusetts Rating, 5 stars,·August 2023,·Stayed with kidsWhat a unique experience. This renovated church is bigger & better than the photos show. So many thoughtful touches to welcome us. Our family of 7 adults and one toddler had so much fun with the pool table, shuffleboard and cornhole. We ate most dinners in as the kitchen was very well stocked and there was a lot of counter space and updated appliances. The openness of this space and the colorful stained glass windows set a great vibe for all to relax and enjoy. Thank you, Anne & Paul. 

New York, New York Rating, 5 stars,·August 2023,·Stayed about a weekI visited for a week with my husband and two teenaged boys. If anything, I feel like the place is more wonderful than it looks in the listing. The space is stunning. We loved playing pool and shuffleboard. My husband and I loved sitting on the front porch and reading. The whole family had a great time around the fire pit. I took swims in Crystal Lake every afternoon. It’s right up the street from a tiny sweet town where we walked for the paper every morning, or for ice cream, or for pizza at the general store. Paul answered every question, and met every need that arose while we were there. Highly, highly recommended.

Public Review on Airbnb: This is a one of a kind place to stay in beautiful Harrison Maine. It's like staying in a boutique hotel with a non to the rich history of this quant town. Truly a unique experience. Within walking distance to beaches and all that down town has to offer. Anne & Paul were friendly, accommodating and attentive.

Public review on Airbnb: " It as quite an experience to live in a church. The host was super nice and responsive. They have a website with a lot of info. My first day was watching the video which shows renovation process. Everyday we would walk to Crystal Lake for swimming and playground. After that we would get ice cream. We also rent a boat to go around Long lake. Every location is walkable and so convenience. The place is super big. TV has youtube live and roku which make my toddlers and mother-in-law happy with either live news or animation. The kitchen has everything needed. On the last night, we were having the fire and play outdoor game. This place made our trip unforgettable. "

 Public review on Airbnb:   "Anne and Paul's 'church' is absolutely stunning and they were wonderful hosts. Our family had a wonderful vacation in Maine. You can tell the church was restored with such care, it is exceptional! It is large and roomy, comfortable, very clean, and well stocked. The sleeping situation was perfect for the 7 of us. We had real beds for everyone, not pull outs or sofa beds. The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, etc to prepare meals. It is hard to put into words how beautiful the church is, the pictures online are lovely but they really do not do it justice. Crystal Lake park is just a few minutes walk and we enjoyed walking down to cool off with a swim at the end of the day or just relax on the beach. Anne and Paul have a website with several links for things to do and see while you are staying in Maine. I wish I could have stayed longer, it was a great vacation. I highly recommend the 'church'. "

 Public review on Airbnb:  " Words do not quite capture the one of a kind experience. The light through the stained glass changes throughout the day. The vast expanse of the living space. A lovely kitchen to cook in is really the least interesting part! Go to Harrison and enjoy the lovely down town, but make time to enjoy the spaces within the church. Sit on the porch, enjoy a cup of coffee and watch the world pass by. We absolutely loved our stay and we'll be back. Thank you for making such a truly one of a kind place open to all."

"I can't express what a lovely and truly unique stay we had. The space is gorgeous and the setting is one of a kind. We loved the light cascading through the stained glass. We loved a spooky walk in the cemetery. We loved walking to Harrison for drinks and food at the pub. We'll be back with kids in tow.
